Kira Elisabeth Koch, born 2010 in Berlin started playing the violin at the age of 5 and since 2017 she has been taught by Michiko Feuerlein.
She won the 1st prize with full points at the "Jugend musiziert" competition in the years 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 as a soloist, in the rating for string duo and also as duo partner with piano. She won a first prize and a sponsorship prize at the nationwide Carl Schröder Competition 2020 and 2021 in Sondershausen, the second prize at the international competition "Young Ludwig" and the third prize at this year's International Kocian Competition.
She made her orchestral debut as a soloist at the age of 7 with the orchestra "Concerto" of the Musikwerkstatt Eden. Since August 2020, Kira has been a student at the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music High School and plays in the Children's Orchestra of the Berlin State Opera.
