
Presentation
The Kreutzer International Music Competition will start on the 2nd of August 2021. The competition will be held online.
The competition is open to all young violinists and string chamber music groups from all around the world.
There will be three prizes in each category group, the prizes include cash, as well as instruments and music materials. The prize winners will be invited to play at our gala concert the following year, and the first prize winners of the violin section will have a concert with the Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra, China in 2022.
Prizes totaling 9000 € will be awarded to the winners.
Categories
1) Solo violin:
This competition is open to all violinists, all nationalities. Every participant must register at one of the following categories.
Category A: - born after 1st January 2009
Category B: - born between 31st December 2008 and 1st January 2002
Category C: - born between 31st December 2001 and 1st of January 1988
The competitors may apply to a higher category if they wish.
2) Chamber music:
The chamber music groups can be strings alone or strings with piano. Participants must register at one of the following categories:
Category A: Each member of the group should be 18 years old or less on the first day of the competition
Category B: Each member of the group should be 19 years old or older on the first day of the competition (no age limit)
Prizes
There are 3 prizes for each category
1) Solo violin
Category A: 1st prize - bow in the value of 800 euros and concert in China in 2022
2nd prize - violin case value of 500 euros
3rd prize - strings in the value of 200 euros
Category B: 1st prize 800 euros and concert in China 2022
2nd prize 500 euros
3rd prize 300 euros
Category C: 1st prize 1000 euros and concert in China 2022
2nd prize 700 euros
3rd prize 400 euros
2) Chamber music
Category A: 1st prize 800 euros
2nd prize 500 euros
3rd prize 300 euros
Category B: 1st prize 1000 euros
2nd prize 700 euros
3rd prize 400 euros
