Emiri Kobayashi

Japan, 2000

In 2014, she was selected for the Menuhin International Music Competition in Texas and in 2016, she won the First Prize and the Best Interpretation Prize at the 9th Grumiaux International Music Competition in Belgium.

Other awards she has received include the following.

She won the first prize at the 1st International Junior Music Competition in 2008, performed at the gala concert at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2010, won the first prize at the 11th Senzoku Gakuen Junior Music Competition, and made a guest appearance at CHANEL Pygmalion Days in 2011. In 2013, she won the 1st prize at the 7th Cecilia Music Competition, the 1st prize at the 14th Osaka International Music Competition for Strings Age-J Division, and the Mozarteum Scholarship, and took lessons from a famous violinist in Vienna. In 2014, she performed with the NHK Symphony Orchestra members after passing the Jack Golden Egg Audition in Yokohama. She won the Grand Prize and the Grand Prix at the 15th Senzoku Gakuen Junior Music Competition, the First Prize at the 12th Czech Music Competition, the Second Prize at the National Competition of the 70th All Japan Music Competition in Tokyo. In February 2020, she performed the Tchaikovsky violin Concerto with the Century Orchestra of Japan at Symphony Hall in Osaka.

She graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music for Children with top honors, and is a third-year student at Keio University School of Medicine. She has studied under Professor Mami Teshigahara and Professor Akiko Tatsumi.
