Marie Scheffel

Germany, 2010

Marie was born in 2010 in Pforzheim, Germany. At the age of six she had her first violin lessons at "Musikschule Gutmann" in Mühlacker (Germany) with her teacher Tigran Harutyunyan.

After one year of violin lessons, she won the first prize at "Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violonists“ (Brussels/Belgium). She is a multiple 1st prize winner of the national competition "Jugend musiziert“ in Germany.

At the age of eight she was appointed youth music ambassador in her hometown Maulbronn. She regularly takes part in the "Goppisberg Musikfestival und Akademie“ (Spiez/Switzerland). In 2019 she won the "Rotary Club Music Scholarship“ in Germany. In the same year she also won the Grand Prix at the "Kamerton Soloist International Competition“ (Eriwan /Armenia) and participated in the award winners concert with the Babajanian Chamber Orchestra at the "Komitas Musichall“ (Eriwan/Armenia).

In September this year she is going to take part in the "Rotary Summer Course“ at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT (Weimar /Germany) which she was proposed for.
