Laura Ochmann

Born in London in 2002, Laura Ochmann began playing violin at the age of four. In 2013, she was admitted to the Pre-College Cologne and is currently studying for her Bachelor`s degree at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts in the class of Professor Marco Rizzi.
The young violinst had her orchestral debut with the Frankfurt Symphony Orchestra at the age of eight. Various performances with orchestra followed including WDR Symphony Orchestra, Rhein Main Philharmonics, Thüringen Philharmonic Orchestra and New Philharmonic Orchestra of Westphalia. She has already given solo recitals and performed in various concert venues as Cologne Cathedral, Eberbach Abbey and Old Opera Frankfurt.
Laura Ochmann won numerous prizes and awards, including first and special prize of the Mendelssohn Competition for Young String Soloists in Kronberg/Germany, second prize of the International Competition Grumiaux for Young Soloists in Belgium, first prize of the European Competition of Young Soloists in Luxembourg, and first prize of the FLAME Competition in Paris.
