Duo Lynn-Gatti

Italy/U.S.A

The Lynn–Gatti Duo comprises violinist Erica Lynn and pianist Ismaele Gatti, two musicians whose international careers converge in a shared devotion to the rich repertoire for violin and piano and a passion for exploring and reimagining music from diverse cultural, stylistic, and historical traditions through performance, transcription, and arrangement.

American violinist Erica Lynn has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, the Spokane Symphony, the Asunción Symphony Orchestra, and the Peninsula Symphony Orchestra, among others. An active chamber musician and recitalist, she has performed internationally and worked closely with distinguished mentors including Leon Fleisher, Noah Bendix-Balgley, and Joel Krosnick. As concertmaster, she has performed under conductors such as Gerard Schwarz, Leonard Slatkin, Joseph Silverstein, and Leon Fleisher. She performs on a 1716 Carlo Tononi violin generously provided by anonymous donors.

Italian pianist Ismaele Gatti is a répétiteur with the Opera Studio of the Zurich Opera House and will join the National Theatre Mannheim as accompanist, vocal coach, and assistant to the music director. A graduate of the conservatories of his native Italy and Lugano, he has pursued advanced studies in piano, organ, and harpsichord, including work at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He has performed throughout Europe and collaborated with ensembles and institutions including Philharmonia Zurich, I Barocchisti, the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, and the RSI Choir, and worked with renowned musicians such as Albrecht Meyer, Joana Mallwitz, Lorenzo Viotti, Diego Fasolis. In 2026, he served as musical director for the premiere of Sillons de Mémoires at the Zurich Opera House.

Drawing on experience as soloists, chamber musicians, and practitioners of historically informed performance, the duo brings together stylistic insight, artistic curiosity, and a commitment to discovering new perspectives within both established and lesser-known repertoire.

The duo will be performing at a number of concerts over the coming months in Italy, Switzerland and Romania..

The ensemble has been recognized with top prizes in several international competitions.
