Kornii Sheldunov

Kori Sheldunov was born in 2010 in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

He began his specialized music education in 2016 at the Kharkiv Specialized Music School, later continuing his studies at the Kyiv Specialized Music School. Since 2022, Korney has been a student at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London, where he studies under Akiko Ono.


Kori has participated in a number of international music competitions, such as Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violinist, 2019, Brussels (1st Prize); Odessa Music International Competition, 2021, Odessa, Ukraine, (The Grand Prix); The Jenő Hubay Violin Competition 2021, Budapest (1st Prize), Sevenoaks Young Musician of the Year Competition 2023, UK, (3rd Prize); Brentwood International Music Competition (2025) UK (1st Prize).


As a soloist, he performed with symphony and chamber orchestras of London, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv and Zaporizhia. He performed at the grand opening of the Kharkiv Regional Philharmonic in presence of the President of Ukraine in 2019. He was also invited to Davos (Switzerland), where he took part in a concert at the Ukrainian Dinner as part of the World Economic Forum.


Kori is currently dedicated to his studies at the Yehudi Menuhin School, where he continues to refine his technique and musical expression. In 2026, he was assigned to lead the Yehudi Menuhin school orchestra.
