Yige Chen

Yige Chen's early violin teachers were Ms. Yang Xinhua and Mr. Liu Shenghua. In 2012, Chen was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music Primary School. Since then, he has been under the tutelage of Professor Liu Xiao. He is currently pursuing his master's degree at the Central Conservatory of Music.

In 2022, he was the first prize winner of the 6th LEONID KOGAN International competition for Young Violinists in Belgium. He also won first place in 2020 International Music Competition Bonn "Grand Prize Virtuoso".

In 2023, he won the "Golden Bell Award" in the 14th China Music Golden Bell Award Violin Competition.                 

In 2024,he was the second prize of the 31th Postacchini international violin competition.

At the age of 15, he won the first prize in the Violin Competition of the Central Conservatory of Music. Since then, he has received awards and high praise from the music industry and society. He has won numerous prizes in the 3rd Schoenfield International Violin Competition, the 25th Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition, the 3rd China Central Television CCTV Violin Competition and the 11th China “Wenhua Cup”Violin Competition. In 2021, he was selected to the prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition in Italy, where he reached the semifinals. In 2020, he was invited as a solo performer by the 23rd Beijing International Music Festival and won the Nestle Cup "Young Musician Award".

As a soloist, Chen has collaborated with

numerous leading orchestras, including the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. He actively participated in masterclasses held by famous teachers and musicians such as: Maxim Vengerov, Midori, Zakhar Bron, Boris Kuschnir, etc. And Chen's performance was highly praised by these renowned masters.
